Oregon!

So I had the most amazing weekend, well 2 weekends ago, I'm just a little slow on updating! Anyways, I went with my fiance to Portland, OR. We went to visit a couple famous eateries & had a great time boutique shopping. Our first stop was Voodoo Doughnuts! Yummmm u must try the maple bacon bar! Don't care what you say, its delicious!

Then we continued on to SOLE shoe shop. Where I met the most amazing lady ever, Jessica. She informed me of sad & good news. Sad news is that almost every boutique in the district, which used to be the epicenter of shopping shutdown. This included their sister store Bee & thistle. Good news was she gave me a LIST of places to shop for the next time. During this trip I bought two pairs of MIA shoes that are so comfortable.

(These are amazing!)
Then we ventured to the Woodburn outlets. I didn't find much here except a cute dress that I'm excited to wear in Hawaii in April!

Then we continued to Salvador Molly's, Famous for the great ball of fire challenge (MAN VS. FOOD).

Then we made our way back home to Seattle. Shopping in Oregon inspired me to try & find local boutiques to shop at, so we don't lose any more unique gems.

Seattle Holiday Designer Trunk Show

I wish I could make it! I would have really loved to meet Seattle Designers. I want to learn about their journey, and how they lived out there dream in Seattle. So maybe one day I can continue my dream of being in the fashion industry too...but until then I'll do my job the best I can, and learn everything I can also.

Spring 2010

While catching up on fashion news through on of my greatest resources, Apparel News; I found reports on textile trends for spring/autumn 2010. I'm also trying to pair unique colors to build my wedding around! A very exciting time :D So here are the colors I want to group together-Plum, blue, brown/an off-white.

AND BONUS! While looking for pics of a plum colored fabric, I found these super cute shoes! from Zara! I would totally wear these on my wedding day with plum & blue jewel necklaces :D

Spring 2010 RTW

Tonight I logged on to my FIDM student portal & discovered I still gained access to style.com. And I was scanning through the Pre-Fall & Spring 2010 Ready-To-Wear line previewed in Paris; I believe in September. This designer & his entire collection caught my attention. The dress below is from Andrew Gn. He's a genius! I love his work just previewing two of his collections. His ready-to-wear garments are actually something I can see being translated into real life. Just wanted to share...hmm what other designers can I admire?? It never hurts to go beyond the big names in fashion to find beautiful work like these garments below...

I know the hair is a little crazy, but if you did nice loose curls or waves these dresses would be perfect for a formal evening for warm, spring nights.

I would love this jacket in my collection!
